Care
At the Smart Start Early Childhood Center we believe each
child is a unique and special individual. Our program
combines self-directed and structured activities to develop
and stimulate the child's curiosity, problem solving,
language skills and self-concept. Our goal is to develop
a trusting relationship with the child as well as his/her
parents. The teachers at our center will encourage each
child to develop at his/her own rate in a setting that
is loving, caring and stimulating. We will try to develop
your child's confidence, independence, and resourcefulness
in our classroom. In short, we will encourage your child
to think.
Day Care services offered from 7:00 am - 6:30 pm, Monday
through Friday for children 2 – 5 years old. Kindergarten
care is also available.
Latch
Key
This before and after school care is geared for working
parents and accommodates children enrolled at the Westchester
Primary and Intermediate Schools. Children have the opportunity
to play, participate in sports activities, create crafts
and do homework.

Key accommodates Kindergarten through 4th grade students.
Registration is on-going throughout the school year. Please

Registration
for the 2008-2009 school year will take place from Monday,
February 25th to Thursday, February 28th. Proof of residency,
a birth certificate and a $25.00 dollar deposit is required.
(No refunds will be issued after August 1st, 2008) After
the March 3rd lottery, openings will be filled on a first
come first serve basis until all classes are full. Registration
will be taken until August 29th, 2008.
